Yandex releases mobile version of the Ya.Online (“I’m.Online”) application for Windows Mobile, Symbian and Java platforms. Starting today, the application featuring both mobile mail service and instant messaging is now available to most mobile users.
The application’s email feature is based on push technology. Users do not need to check mail for new messages anymore, the Ya.Online service will do this for them. When a new email hits Yandex.Mail box, users get notification on the screen of their mobile devices.
In addition to receiving email notifications, with the mobile Ya.Online, users can also send and receive instant messages. This option is available to Yandex users as well as users of any desktop or mobile service supporting Jabber technology, such as Gmail, QIP Infium or LiveJournal.
