Default Microsoft adCenter Desktop (Beta)

I downloaded the beta client of AdCenter Desktop this week, and so far am very impressed! The interface has a very familiar feel to it, since it is very much like the new Office 2008 with the tabs, and as such I found it easy to navigate around, much more so than the first time I used Adwords Editor - (though this may also be because I am much more familiar with PPC now than when I first looked at Editor).

Bidding is quick and easy - similar to the editor interface. Bids can now be increased and decreased quickly in bulk by percentage and amount, and this is a very welcome addition to the MSN paid search experience. Under the research tab, you can also ask the tool to estimate the bids for pos 1, 2 and 3, as well as set position 1 bids at the click of one button! No word on just how accurate this is yet, but a nice feature nonetheless.

Keyword Research is heavily integrated within the tool, enabling you to look at similar keywords, extracted keywords (extracted from a URL you input - also showing amount of impressions for this), frequent keywords, and category keywords, along with the ability to add these straight into the campaign as negatives or keywords. Neat!

There is also a "Favourites" feature which allows you to add parts of the campaign - ads, keywords etc - to a widget on the left hand side, which when double clicked will take you directly to that part of the campaign. This is a great timesaver allowing fast access to the most important parts of the account.

Overall I'm really thrilled to see this software, and I'm impressed with the features Microsoft have incorporated. Looking forward to working more with it and would love to hear about any other features I haven't found yet - anyone?!
