Google is introducing new improvements to the quality score.
1) More accurate Quality Score - this feature will replace exiting static per-keyword Quality Scores. It will evaluate an ad's quality each time it matches a search query. 2) This will also mean that keywords will no longer appear as 'inactive for search '. Instead, all keywords will be eligible to appear on Google web search and the search network. (I think this way Google is trying to accrue more money from keywords which by being 'inactive' before together with advertisers being lazy and not always checking for 'inactive' keywords and making them 'active' - Google was obviously loosing the dosh) 3)'First page bid' to replace 'minimum bid' - this calculation will be based on the exact match version of the keyword, the ad's Quality Score and current advertiser competition on that keyword. |
