AliPay's (支付宝) global service allow consumers in mainland China to buy directly online from global retailers.
Limited method of international payment system is the biggest barrier for the company which looking for the opportunity to expand their business in China mainland.
Now Alipay, which china's leading online payment supplier, launched a new international service that will enable transactions between Chinese consumers and overseas retailers in Chinese RMB and 21 major foreign currencies . This new new international service is the first online payment service of its kind in China.
Alipay have partnership with a handful of international retail chains, now expects to expand its list to over 100 retail websites by the end of 2007.
Alipay has over 48 million users in China, and as many as 780,000daily transactions accounting for a transaction volume of $20million.
